Do Not Resuscitate (No CPR) Bracelets for Colorado

Colorado regulation 1015-2 provides that residents may elect to refuse medical treatment, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, in the event of a cardiac or respiratory arrest. The regulation stipulates that a CPR Directive in paper form or in the form of a 'No CPR' bracelet or pendant, will be honored by EMS personnel so long as it is apparent and immediately available to EMS personnel. A CPR Directive will not prevent EMS personnel from delivering palliative (comfort care) as needed. The surgical stainless CPR Directive bracelet displays the internationally recognized Staff of Aesculapius medical symbol on the front along with the words 'COLORADO No CPR'. The patient’s full Name will be engraved on the first line of the back of the bracelet, and there is additional room to enter an emergency contact person and phone number. All backside engraving is included in the price shown. Although Colorado does not require a specific form to be used for a CPR directive, the form recommended by the state of Colorado can be downloaded from our web site: Download Colorado CPR Directive Form.
