About us

StickyJ Medical ID and sister company Thoughtful Impressions have been family owned and operated for more than 23 years. The company is led by CEO Lori Torman, who has an eye for great quality and classic styles. In the early days of medical id bracelets (we're talking 1960's), medical alert bracelets were pretty boring -- basically engraved metal tags with curb link chains. The same styles were offered for children, just smaller (no wonder kids didn't want to wear them). And, by the end of the 20th century things hadn't improved that much. Lori was among the first to recognize that medical id's could be fashion conscious, and in 2005 launched designs in leather as well as stainless, and introduced polyester kids medical id bracelets that had cute designs. The sport strap line of child medical id's she introduced nearly 20 years ago is still the most popular line of children's medical jewelry on the market today, but now we've added Minecraft Medical ID bracelets for Kids and Adults, and we now produce more than 100 different styles of medical alert bracelets and necklaces for men and women. Our engraved bracelets are individually custom engraved by our team of master engravers, shipped within three (M-F) business days from the date you order, and all products come with a 90 warranty against manufacturing defects. Please come and shop with us today. It will be our pleasure to serve you.

ten early signs of pregnancy

Think you might be pregnant? Hope the symptoms you’re suddenly experiencing mean you’re pregnant?? Well, you could be! Below is a list of 10 Early Signs of Pregnancy to watch for!

*Having one or some of these symptoms does not mean that you’re pregnant. To be certain, it’s a good idea to take an at home pregnancy test and to schedule an appointment with your gynecologist.*

pretty pregnancy early signs

  1. Bloating – Blame it on the hormone progesterone which can cause excess gas and bloat in the very early weeks of a pregnancy.
  2. Sensitivity to smells – Again, hormones are to blame for one of the most frustrating early signs of pregnancy – foods that you normally love, could now be something you cannot be in the same room with without feeling like you need to purge.
  3. Missed period – Many women count on missing their period (especially if their cycle is regular) as a telltale sign that they’re pregnant and often times its true. Sometimes it’s just late or doesn’t come due to illness or stress, so if you miss it, don’t panic, but do pay attention to your body and at least take a pregnancy test at home just to be sure.
  4. Mood swings – Moods swings can happen due to sudden changes your body is experiencing to accommodate having a baby. Mood swings can range from sudden irritability to crying over little things that normally wouldn’t affect you so strongly.
  5. Fatigue – Your body produces extra blood to carry additional nutrients to your baby which causes you to feel fatigued regularly. Taking naps is a smart way to help you manage your fatigue throughout your pregnancy.
  6. Weight gain – Some women actually lose weight early on due to morning sickness, but likely if you don’t have morning sickness, the changes in your body and bloating and fatigue can cause some weight gain early on.
  7. Motion sickness & Nausea – Many women will experience morning sickness in the form of nausea and motion sickness, but it’s not just in the morning, it can happen to you all throughout the day due to the hormonal changes occurring within you. You may feel like you need to purge or suddenly might need to close your eyes and take some deep breaths until the dizziness subsides. You’ll likely need to adjust your diet until this passes.
  8. Cramping and spotting – Spotting is likely due to the fertilized egg attaching itself to the lining of the uterus and cramping occurs because of the expansion of your uterus.
  9. Frequent urination – Your increase in blood flow will cause your kidneys to produce more urine.
  10. Acne – It’s very common to get acne while pregnant due to the hormonal changes your body goes through. Good news though, once those hormonal changes cease, so will your acne.
